đī¸ General Requirements
This guide covers the fundamental requirements for creating models that work with EmoteLab. Understanding these requirements is essential before you begin creating your model.
đī¸ Animations
When a model is loaded, EmoteLab scans for animations and displays them in the Animation list. Users can select animations to play them in the viewport, and they can export animations as GIF files.
đī¸ Skins
Skins allow users to select different variations of character parts (like different eyes, hairstyles, or clothing). To enable this functionality, you must organize your skins using a specific folder structure and naming convention in Spine Editor.
đī¸ Slider Constraints
Slider constraints enable the Parts Adjustment feature in EmoteLab. They allow users to fine-tune character parts using sliders that control animation-based adjustments. To make sliders available in EmoteLab, you must put them in a specific folder named Character (case-insensitive).
đī¸ Slots
In EmoteLab, users edit the part color by changing the corresponding slot color. You do not need to do anything to enable this feature, but for better user experience, usually multiple slots are grouped together to allow easy editing.
đī¸ Viewport Bounds
You can define the viewport model positioning using a bounding box attachment. Create a bounding box attachment and name its slot VIEWPORT (case-insensitive). The camera will autofit to the bounds of this attachment.
