📄️ Model Loading
EmoteLab supports two types of models:
📄️ Viewport Navigation
The viewport is the main visual area in EmoteLab where your character model is displayed. It provides a real-time view of your character as you make customizations, apply animations, and adjust settings. The viewport allows you to zoom, pan, rotate, and reset the view to examine your character from any angle and distance.
📄️ Choose Parts
Choosing parts is the primary method for customizing your character's appearance in EmoteLab. It allows you to choose from different variations of character parts such as eyes, hair, clothing, accessories, and more. Each part group contains multiple variations that you can cycle through to find the perfect combination for your character.
📄️ Parts Adjustment
Parts Adjustment uses sliders to fine-tune specific aspects of your character's parts. While Parts Selection lets you choose which parts to use, Parts Adjustment lets you modify how those parts appear—their position, rotation, state, or other properties. Not all parts can be adjusted.
📄️ Coloring
EmoteLab's coloring system allows you to modify the colors of your character's parts through a tinting system. You can choose to keep original colors, apply single-color tints, or use two-color tinting.
📄️ Using Custom Textures
Using Custom Textures allows you to replace the model's built-in textures with your own custom image files. This provides the most direct way to modify your character's appearance, as you're editing the actual image files that the model uses.
📄️ Characters Management
Saving a character preserves all your customizations in a file that can be loaded later. This includes parts selections, slider adjustments, color settings, and custom texture information. Saved characters appear in the Character list and can be loaded with a single click.
📄️ Export Animation
Animation export allows you to capture the currently playing animation and save it as a GIF file.
📄️ Using the Search Function
When working with models that have many part groups, the search function helps you quickly find the parts/groups you want to customize.
